My
software expired
After 30 days, you loose access the data for the
user that you created. When you Register
the software you will regain access to your user
data.
The software does not itself expire and you (or
other family members) can continue using VistaWrite
by creating new users. So, if you put away the software
for a couple of weeks, you can continue evaluating
it by creating a new user. There is no limit to
the number of users that you can create and use.

Colors
display incorrectly
Colors may not appear correct on systems using
256 colors. This is due to the limited color availability
on these systems and may cause image and text colors
to look wrong. Examples: colors may look wrong for
themes, the Calendar Browser, selected text et cetera.
To minimize this problem, we have created several
themes that use less than 256 colors. If you have
a 256 color system, select themes that have (256)
behind their name, example: Notebook (256).
Note: remember the 256 color limitation when choosing
images to include in your own theme creations.

I
have the 1.5 beta and want to install the 1.5 release
version.
You can install the release version right on top
of the beta version.
Note: If you have created new themes or made any
changes to the existing theme settings save a copy
of the Theme.set file (Digital Writing/VistaWrite
directory) so that you will not loose your theme
& personalization settings. If you do not save
the theme.set file, your themes will be overwritten
by the default theme file.

Some
of my markers (entry tags and hilites) do not show
up in the Marker's Browser.
To make ensure that all your markers appear in
the Marker's Browser:
1) Click Save. Markers will not appear
in the Marker's Browser unless they have been
saved. Saving automatically occurs when you close
an journal or notebook entry.
2) If the marker still does not appear, select
the Journal Maintanence option in the Edit
menu and run the Rebuild Journal and Notebook
List command in the Edit menu.

Printing
VistaWrite does not print multiple pages.
This is fixed in the 1.5 release version.
Printing dialog takes a long time to come up.
In order to give you accurate entry page information,
VistaWrite is looking at the current notebook and
counting all the pages. Depending on your system
and the number of entries that you have, this may
take a little time.

Hot
keys/Short Cuts
Most Hotkeys are documented in the menus. Newly
added ones are:
Indent: Ctrl + ]
Outdent: Ctrl + [
Bold: Ctrl + b
Italic: Ctrl + i
Increase Font Size: Ctrl + + (hold down
Ctrl and the +/= button)
Decrease Font Size: Ctrl + - (hold down
Ctrl and the _/- button)
